At Clinica Tarraula we are fortunate to have the services of Dr Erik Nurbek, a very experienced English-speaking specialist radiologist.

Dr Nurbek is able to visit Clinica Tarraula regularly to provide a screening service for abnormalities in all areas of the body using a high quality ultrasound scanner. This means that we can offer you the opportunity to have a private ultrasound at reasonable prices.

Orthopaedic Consultant Ultrasound scans use sound waves to build up a picture of the inside of the body. The ultrasound scanner has a small hand-held transducer (probe), which gives off sound waves. The transducer is passed over your body. The sound waves bounce off the organs inside your body, and are picked up again as they bounce back. The soundwaves are converted into an image on a monitor.

No ionising radiation is used in ultrasound.
