In an extreme emergency (such as a suspected heart attack, a fall possibly requiring X-ray, or a severe injury involving considerable loss of blood) please do not wait for a doctor but call an ambulance by dialling 112 immediately. They have multilingual operators available, just ask for the ambulance service and explain your problem.

The ambulance drivers, however, are unlikely to have more than a few words of English and are usually not trained as paramedics.

For patients insured with ASSSA and ARESA different criteria applies as only their nominated ambulance services can be used. Patients with these insurances will find the appropriate number in their insurance documents.

PHARMACY SERVICE

In Spain there is always one local pharmacy on duty 24-hours per day. Obviously the pharmacies work on a rota and you can find the duty pharmacy for areas local to our clinics on our web site here.

A list of the duty pharmacies is always found on the outside of your local pharmacy.
