The term Podiatrist means foot specialist, someone who will manage all areas of foot care from simple nail cutting to assessment and treatment of Diabetic foot problems, minor surgery under local anaesthetic and sports injuries.

Our Chiropodist/Podiatrist is Philip Mann BSc.(Hons) M.Ch. S S.R.Ch. In order to qualify as a Podiatrist Philip had to pass a three-year Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Podiatric Medicine. He is registered with the Health Professions Council in the UK and with the Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Podólogos de la Communidad Valenciana in Spain. Philip is a Member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists and is a State Registered Chiropodist /Podiatrist.

The profession of podiatry has developed from its origins in chiropody to become a medical speciality dealing with assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the lower limb.
